Custom foil container
quote checklist
You may have a finished drawing or just a tray you would like to improve. This quote checklist covers the details we need to discuss your container, its lid, and how you want it supplied.
Request your quoteYour quote checklist
Your photo, sample, or drawing gives us a starting point. An estimated quantity and destination help us discuss the supply side, too.
If the size or lid is still undecided, you can leave that part open.
Which dimensions
need to stay the same?
Your tray may need to fit an existing lid, sealing tool, or shelf. Those dimensions matter before we compare an existing mold with a new one.
| Measurement | What it describes | What to include |
|---|---|---|
| Top size | The outside dimensions across the rim. | Length and width, or diameter for a round tray. A photo should show the whole rim. |
| Base size | The footprint at the bottom. | Whether the tray must sit in an existing recess, carrier, or display space. |
| Depth | The height from base to rim. | Any height limit, especially when a fitted lid adds to the packed height. |
| Fill target | The amount you plan to pack. | Food weight or usable fill volume. A brimful capacity alone does not describe your portion. |
No drawing yet? A sample or photos from above and from the side can help us compare the shape. Measured dimensions are still needed where fit is critical.
Existing mold or new mold? The lid belongs
in your tray quote.
A lid that looks close in a photo may not fit your rim. We need to consider the tray and closure together, including how you fill, close, store, and serve the pack.
Board or foil lid
Which lid are you using, and how is it retained at the rim? An open sample and a closed sample help show the edge and finished fit.
Clear lid or dome
Your food height and packed height both matter. Let us know whether you need a flat lid or extra space above the food, and which conditions the lid will face.
Heat-seal film
Include the film reference, tray rim, and sealing equipment you use. The tray, film, and process need to be checked together in your sample trial.
An oven requirement for the tray does not automatically apply to its lid. Please specify the conditions for each part of the pack.
Your quote details:
color and artwork
You can discuss a color or logo before the artwork is finished. We will need to know where it appears on the tray and what you want the sample to match.
- Print surface
- Outside wall, lid, or another specified area. If the inside and outside finishes differ, name both.
- Artwork stage
- A reference image, working design, or production file. A mockup explains the idea; it does not confirm how the print will look after forming.
- Color reference
- Your specified color and, when available, a physical sample. A screen image is useful for discussion, but it is not a physical color reference.
- Sample approval
- The parts you will review on the formed tray: logo position, color, finish, and how the design meets the corners and rim.
Your tray quote:
quantity and delivery
Your quotation needs a clear supply scope. The tray price alone cannot tell you whether lids, packing, samples, tooling, or freight are included.
- Order quantity
- Estimated pieces for each size or design, plus the number of lids required. A first order and an expected reorder can be listed separately.
- Carton packing
- Your preferred pieces per carton, inner packing, carton marks, and any pallet or warehouse requirements.
- Destination
- Country and delivery location or port. Include the delivery terms you want quoted, if already agreed.
- Timing
- The date you need the goods to arrive, and any earlier sample or artwork approval deadline.
What should I compare between quotations?
Check that the tray size, material thickness, lid, order quantity, and packing are the same. Then compare which costs are included and which are listed separately. A different carton count or lid choice can change the comparison even when the tray looks similar.
If you are comparing delivery terms, the ICC's Incoterms overview explains how these rules divide delivery tasks, costs, and risks.
Still deciding on a few details?
Your quote details can include choices you have not settled yet. Send the reference you have and tell us what is not working with your current pack. We can discuss the size, closure, or finish with you.
Discuss your containerCan I start with a photo?
Yes. A clear photo can show the shape and finish you have in mind. If the tray must fit your existing lid or equipment, include measurements or a sample so we can check those details.
What if I need specific documents?
Include the document name or the requirement from your review team, together with the destination market. It also helps to specify whether the request concerns the tray, coating, print, lid, or complete pack.
